Cheshire Lawns and Hedges is a family business, owned and managed by Steve Royle and his sons Will and Tom.
Horticulture and garden maintenance has run in our family for four generations. Steve’s grandfather Bill, who was Head of Grounds Maintenance for a large, private school in Cheshire, was the first to enter the world of garden maintenance after finishing his military service in 1945. His love and experience of “all things garden”, was passed down to his son, grandson and eventually his two great grandsons Will and Tom.
Our office and stores are based in Stockport. We are able to offer our services to clients based throughout Cheshire. We are friendly and reliable and treat you, your garden and all your property with care and consideration. In the unfortunate (but thankfully very rare) event of an accident occurring, then you will be reassured to know that we are fully insured.
Our respect extends not just to you, but all your neighbours as well. We never use noisy machinery before 9.00am (10.00am at weekends) or after 7.00pm. All our gardeners wear a uniform, clearly labelled with our company name and logo. All our vehicles have full livery with our company name and telephone numbers clearly visible. This gives peace of mind to neighbours, who could be a little concerned if they noticed for example, strange men from an unmarked white van, rummaging in a neighbour’s garden. Further peace of mind can be obtained from the fact that all our gardeners have been fully CRB/DBS checked to enhanced levels. We also respect your property by always ensuring all garden gates are closed and locked upon completion of our works.
Our respect and consideration also extends to the environment and wildlife. We are licenced garden waste carriers (please ask to see our Environmental Agency Certificate, registration number CBDL176868) and recycle all our garden waste. Wildlife is respected and we never cut or work with hedges if birds are nesting. A thorough check is always made to determine if birds are nesting in any hedge that we are to work on.
We are professionals and we only use the latest, modern, professional tools and equipment available. All of our petrol driven hand held tools such as hedge trimmers, strimmer’s, leaf blowers, chain saws, etc. are all manufactured by what is widely considered to be the best manufacturer, Stihl. As all our equipment is petrol driven, there is no need to ever plug in electric leads or extensions. This also makes it possible and convenient for our gardeners to work in client gardens when the client is not at home.
Finally, we take great pride in always removing all garden waste and leaving your garden neat and tidy. Remember, professionally well maintained lawns and hedges are a joy to see, add value to your property and act as a proven basic deterrent to any potential burglars.
